Welcome

Hello 6th graders and 6th grade parents,
Welcome to my website. This year is going to be a great year! It will be my 17th year in the district and my 21st year in education. I always enjoy seeing the transition of the students from elementary to middle school, especially, in their attitudes and their ability to achieve at higher levels.
We will be working this year with Study Sync our adopted curriculum, participating in literacy circles, and practicing our writing skills using writing workshops.
Please remember Reading is a skill like any other skill that has to be practiced in order to achieve perfection; therefore, you will be required to complete outside reading throughout the year. Books can be checked out through the SGC library, or it is always great to have your own library card from the Sanger Library. These resources allow ALL students to build their reading skills throughout the whole year. This can help them not only to be successful this year but to help them to be excellent life long readers.

I am looking forward to a great year and a great year of reading!
If students or parents ever have any questions, my conference time is between 9:41-10:27 daily. Parents, you may call the school (940-458-3699) or both students and parents can email me through Canvas and I will get back with you as soon as possible.

Thank you for choosing Sanger ISD for your child's educational needs.
